If needed, we can help you with arranging a place to stay in our area. Depending on your wishes and availability, you could stay in a hotel, apartment or hostel. There is also the possibility to stay in a restored farmhouse to immerse yourself in the authentic country life of Andalusia. Just another way of living, another way of enjoying.

It is important to have a place where you can find the privacy to think about your future home in Spain and the impressions of the day.

Applying for NIE

A NIE number (Foreign Identification Number/ número de identificación de extranjero) is a necessity in all fiscal or legal matters in Spain. These identification numbers are used to track individual's financial and official activities in Spain. It is roughly equivalent to the DNI number each Spanish subject is given for national identification purposes. The NIE/NIF always starts with "X" and is followed by seven numbers and a letter. Your number is personal to you: it is not transferable and neither does it expire.

Obtaining a NIE number should be a priority upon arrival. If you do not feel up to ease up the buying process, 2Be Property Solutions can arrange this for you. And for approximately 58 Euros per person we will get it done for you. If you do choose this option you will be asked to sign a power of attorney if you will not be present at the time of application.

NIE Numbers are needed to:

     • Buying or selling property in Spain,
     • Buying a vehicle,
     • Applying for a mortgage or other type of loan,
     • Opening a bank account,
     • Insuring Property,
     • Applying for a business permit,
     • Applying for a driving license in Spain or for an international license,
     • Employment,
     • Inheritance of assets in Spain,
     • Paying taxes,
     • Signing onto the national Social Security Health plan.

The following documents are needed to obtain a NIE number:

     • Fully filled out application form
     • Passport and photocopy (with certified stamp of Spanish notary)
     • (Future) Address in Spain (you can use a friend's)
     • Additionally you will be asked why you want the NIE number, possible answers are: "to open a        bank account" or to "to buy property."

The process takes four to six weeks and then a NIE number will be issued, which we will collect for you in your absence.
