Vera
A small town on the Costa de Almeria surrounded by the Mediterranean sea, is one of the most important towns of the south east, as much for the economic and commercial level which it has reached in the last decade, as for the millions of investments in this zone.
Vera is outstanding for its ease of access: near to the airport (50 min. by car), trains, buses and the soon to be built new railway for the high-speed train AVE connecting with Seville and Madrid. It also stands out for its climatic characteristics with thousands of hours of sunshine every year, temperatures between 15ºc and 22ºc, kilometres of clean, sandy beaches with all necessary services and warm sea.
Vera offers a wide range of every kind of activity, tourist as much as cultural: scuba diving, sailing, sunbathing, golf, hiking, climbing, rural tourism, cinemas, theatres, nationally renowned restaurants, bullfighting, naturist tourism, and having the first hotel and beach allocated for naturism in Europe.
Vera Playa The coast, with 6 km. of beachfront, part of which is reserved for nudism, is at the moment undergoing intensive urban development.
Three golf courses and two marinas are close by, and other attractions (water parks and health clubs), added to a relaxed suburban beach atmosphere give Vera Playa a level of suburban comfort popular with those who prefer a flat beach terrain to mountainous dwellings. Vera Playa is becoming an increasingly popular year round resort to live and take a holiday.
  
Vera Pueblo Vera is an attractive market town and the principal centre in the region, As well as the main large shops and administration services Vera is renowned for its gastronomy, shopping centre and other amenities. Visitors here will feel they have found and authentic corner of Spain. The old part of the town has seen a lot of restoration and with its narrow streets, small squares and hidden restaurants is a quiet and pleasant environment. Nearby are the two golf courses of Valle del Este and Desert Springs and there is also tennis, horse riding and an aqua-park close by as well as the miles of sandy beaches at Vera Playa.
